his name is Jhostin H. Pineda Euceda. he is 6 years old from Honduras. he has 2 sisters and lives with his parents. their family income is $158 a month. they live in poverty in a one bedroom house and they all sleep on a concrete floor. he manages to go to school and his favorite subject is art. he also enjoys singing and playing soccer.
i joined the organization 'Children International' and became his sponsor. i am required to send $22 a month to support his education, medication and other necessities (but ofc im sending a lot more). ill also buy and send him Bday and Cmas gifts and other holiday stuff, as well as writing back and forth from time to time. i am here to support him financially and give him all the encouragement he needs. hopefully this summer or sometime soon i will fly down to honduras and visit him. many others have asked, but no, he will not live with me. he'll stay in his country with his family and ill support him from here. unless one day when im older and he does need me to adopt him, then i will...
i received a letter in the mail from children int'l and read al about their organization. i also googled them up. after feeling inspired, i couldn't resist, so i decided to become a part of it. i am waiting for my 2nd child, hopefully they'll find me a deaf kid somewhere that needs help.
its a great program and the feeling is awesome.
go to www.children.org -- hopefully you can find a place in your heart to be a part of this too...
